Action NOW!

In 2009, our commitment is to assist a group of charitable organizations that deserve our help by donating 5% of our funds’ profits to charitable causes.

Therefore, our Investors in First American Capital Real Estate Income Opportunity Fund I, L.P participate in charitable contributions that are distributed to the following organizations:

National:

Make-A-Wish Foundation of America

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of America grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. Since its creation, the Foundation has granted the wishes of more than 141,000 children. A wish is granted every 41 minutes. The 69 Make-A-Wish chapters in the United States and the U.S. territories of Guam and Puerto Rico enable the Foundation to serve children in every U.S. community.

Children's Defense Fund

The Children's Defense Fund's (CDF) mission is to leave no child behind and to ensure every child a healthy start, a head start, a fair start, a safe start, and a moral start in life and successful passage to adulthood with the help of caring families and communities. Founded in 1973, CDF provides a strong, effective voice for all the children of America who cannot vote, lobby, or speak for themselves. We pay particular attention to the needs of poor and minority children and those with disabilities. CDF encourages preventive investment before they get sick, into trouble, drop out of school, or suffer family breakdown. We work with elected officials, government agencies, faith groups, and individual activists to build a nation of families where all children have the support they need to thrive.

The Humane Society of the United States

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) is the nation's largest and most effective animal protection organization. Established in 1954, The HSUS seeks a humane and sustainable world for all animals - a world that will also benefit people. We work to reduce suffering and to create meaningful social change for animals by advocating for sensible public policies, investigating cruelty and working to enforce existing laws, educating the public about animal issues, joining with corporations on behalf of animal-friendly policies, and conducting hands-on programs that make ours a more humane world. We are the lead disaster relief agency for animals, and we provide direct care for thousands of animals at our sanctuaries and rescue facilities, wildlife rehabilitation centers, and mobile veterinary clinics.
