Sustainable Development

Sustainable development is a pattern of resource use that aims to meet human needs while preserving the environment so that these needs can be met not only in the present, but also for future generations.

Ever-increasing exploitation of natural resources coupled with ecological disasters such as climate change, pollution, reckless disposal of waste have become a real threat to our survival as a human race. To lessen our impact on environment, there are harmless alternative methods for energy generation and waste disposal including harnessing of solar energy, wind power, wave energy,  converting waste into energy; alternative uses of water resources that does not involve vast inundations of land and displacing animal and human inhabitants, just  to name a few. Additionally, climate change and conservation-related policies can produce the expected results in the long run only if they are fully integrated into national sustainable development strategies.

Public and private sectors need capital to implement and promote our sustainable development and environmental protection initiatives.

Sustainable Development Projects:

- Infrastructure
- Green Real Estate development
- Hotels and Resorts
- Residential Housing
- Mixed Use developments

In response to these initiatives, coupled with activities aimed to alleviate the financial crisis, several governments have directed economic stimulus funding towards the renewable energy sector, including the *U.S. package that will invest $150 billion over ten years in renewable energy. *REN21
